The
final hole at Pebble Beach is a poem in grass. A parenthesis set
in ocean and rock. It lies along the cove's edge with waves
crashing and gulls crying like a royal verdant carpet that leads to the
steps of the lodge veranda. As you walk along, you
experience the magnitude of Pebble Beach - the "Larger than
Life" sensation that has come to its pinnacle on this giant
hole. The tree, the bunker, the ocean and the backdrop of the
lodge all conspire to make this one of the most magnificent scenes in
all of golf.
