The Robert Trent Jones, Jr. designed Mauna Kea Golf Course is a traditional championship layout which opened in 1964 and runs from the waterfront to the heights above Mauna Kea Beach Hotel.  The Mauna Kea Golf Course has been honored as one of Golf Digest's "America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses" since 1969.
